A new temporary exhibition created by Cheetham & Crumpsall residents and Manchester Jewish Museum’s volunteers
Over the past year, the museum’s ESOL group (English for Speakers of Other Languages) have been working with members of our volunteer team to explore stories and objects in our collection. The group have been meeting monthly since the end of 2023, exploring Jewish stories through cooking, printmaking, drawing and conversation.
The project aims to connect local Cheetham Hill and Crumpsall residents with their local museum. These voices bring new perspectives to our collection and volunteer community and celebrate the different experiences of communities in our local area. The exhibition showcases the many beautiful artistic expressions the group created in response to their chosen objects from the museum’s collection.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
