“I Say British, You Say Jewish’ is The National Holocaust Centre and Museum’s new touring exhibition.

The exhibition combines digital and physical displays in a mobile exhibition trailer. It invites audiences to consider the connections between historical and contemporary forms of antisemitisms and prejudice, as well as explore and celebrate diverse, contemporary Jewishness.

The pop-up exhibition will be based next door to Manchester Jewish Museum for a week in Safestore car park. The interactive experience allows visitors to choose their own journey through the content.

Learn about the British roots of anti-Jewish tropes through objects and stories and visit a virtual German-Jewish living room in the 1930s as you explore the spectrum of identities and the diversity of Jewish experience.

The exhibition was made in collaboration with the University of Nottingham and Jewish Museum London.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The age guidance for this exhibition is 12+. The exhibition may contain upsetting content in relation to antisemitism.

The exhibition is free to visit. Visitors can book onto half an hour slots from 22nd January – 28th January 2024. We recommend that visitors meet at Manchester Jewish Museum a couple of minutes before the start time of their booking slot and one of our volunteer guides will direct you to the exhibition.
